Aminatou Sow

AMINATOU SOW is the co-host of Call Your Girlfriend, a podcast that tackles the intricacies of feminism, pop culture and the latest in politics every single week. She is a frequent public speaker, appearing at events like SXSW, Chicago Ideas Week and the Sydney Writers Festival. She convenes and facilitates conversations about the most important cultural issues of our time. She has interviewed everyone from Hillary Clinton to Roxane Gay, Kirsten Gillibrand, Ali Raisman and so many more impressive women. Her talks and interviews lead to candid conversations about female ambition, money and power. She was a member of the Sundance Institute Director’s Advisory Group and previously led Social Impact Marketing at Google. She was named one of Forbes 30 Under 30 in Tech. She is also the co-founder of Tech LadyMafia, an organization created to increase the visibility of women working in and around technology. She’s been nominated for the Shorty Awards Storyteller of the Year. She co-authored Big Friendship: How We Keep Each Other Close with her friend, the journalist Ann Friedman. Sow is an endometrial cancer survivor who lives in Brooklyn.  @callyrgf
