Dr. Yan Zhang

DR. YAN ZHANG is vice president and general manager of the microarray, genetic sciences group at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In this role, Dr. Zhang is building a strong team evolving the technology platform to become a growth driver for the division and company, leveraging the scalability of the platform to bring industrial genetic screening to additional applications, such as predictive genomics for common diseases and agriculture for sustainable food supply for the world. Following postdocs in genetics and neuroscience at University of California at Berkeley and University of Southern California, she spent the following two decades in various scientific, marketing, sales and commercial management roles in leading genomics companies including Affymetrix, Molecular Devices, NuGEN and, most recently, Thermo Fisher Scientific (previous Life Technologies division). Dr. Zhang received her bachelor’s in biochemistry from Peking University and her Ph.D. From the Medical College of Wisconsin. @thermofisher
