Award winning journalist JANELLE WANG anchors weeknights at NBC Bay Area News. She has won 3 Emmys for her coverage of the Valley Fire in Middletown, the Ghost Ship warehouse fire in Oakland, and the North Bay Fires in Wine Country. She has also traveled to Beijing, China and Sochi, Russia to cover the Winter Olympics. During her career, she has interviewed numerous prominent figures including Presidents Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and TV Host Oprah Winfrey. Janelle’s popularity and viewer appeal also landed her a guest co-hosting spot with Regis Philbin on Live with Regis and Kelly in 2009. Janelle is an avid 49ers fan and spends her time promoting cancer awareness and encouraging people to join the National Marrow Donor Program.
