Lauren Rawlins
LAUREN RAWLINS is the interim director of active pharmaceutical ingredient manufacturing at Bayer’s Biotech site in Berkeley, where she leads the Purification team. She is vice president of the ARISE Business Resource Group for African American employees which helps advance social justice awareness and engage employees in achieving the site’s business and I&D objectives. Initially, Rawlins worked at Bayer as an intern in the high school biotech partners program. After graduation, nearly 18 years ago, she joined the full-time staff as a production operator, serving in roles of increasing responsibility in manufacturing. She holds an associate’s in business administration from Laney College and is pursuing her bachelor’s at Cal State East Bay.
